A helpful resource designed to keep all your important studio information in one simple and convenient place. Whenever you have a question, this is the best place to start
Clear and supportive communication is incredibly important at Encore Dance Company.
Our preferred method of communication is via email at: [email protected]
Emails are typically responded to within 1–2 business days.
All important studio information will be sent directly via email.
Families are also encouraged to join our private Encore Dance Company Family Facebook Group, where important reminders, updates and studio information are regularly shared throughout the year.
To ensure you don’t miss important studio communication, please check emails regularly and make sure our email address is added to your safe sender list.
If your child is unable to attend class, please notify the studio via email at: [email protected]
Where class availability allows, students are welcome to attend a make-up class to help make up for missed lessons.
The wellbeing of all students and staff is incredibly important to us. If your child is feeling unwell, we kindly ask that they do not attend class until they are feeling better.
Please note that refunds are not provided for missed classes.
Please ensure your email address and contact details remain updated throughout the year so you don’t miss important studio communication.
Families are encouraged to join our private Encore Dance Company Family Facebook Group to help stay connected throughout the dance year.
The group is used to share:
- Important reminders
- Studio updates
- Event information
- Concert announcements
- Photos and special studio moments
It’s also a wonderful space for families to feel connected within the Encore community and celebrate the joyful memories being created throughout the year.
While all important studio communication will still be sent via email, the Facebook group provides an easy and convenient way to stay updated and involved in studio life.
For most classes, students simply need:
- Comfortable dancewear or activewear
- Appropriate dance shoes ( if you have them!)
- A water bottle
- Hair neatly tied back
We recommend arriving approximately 5 minutes before class begins to allow time for:
Bathroom visits, changing shoes, settling in comfortably and meeting teachers and classmates.
Arriving calmly and without rushing can help children feel more relaxed and confident before class.
Dance classes are designed for every child at every level, no previous experience is needed to start.
At Encore Dance Company, the focus is on helping children feel:
- included
- encouraged
- confident
- safe to participate
- excited to learn
Building confidence often happens one small step at a time, and every child’s journey looks different.
We’re so excited to welcome your child into the Encore family and help make their first dance experience a joyful and positive one..
Dress Code
Uniforms and dress code requirements help students feel prepared, confident and comfortable in class while also supporting safe movement and proper technique.
Specific class uniform requirements and footwear information can be viewed here:
Families are welcome to purchase dancewear and footwear from local dancewear suppliers and stores. A list of recommended stores nearby can be found below:
- Gnommes Footwear, Midland
- Ballet Boutique, Morley
- Sequin City, Wangara
- Aspire Dance Collections, Kelmscott
To help make dance more affordable and convenient for families, Encore Dance Company also offers a shoe exchange system at the studio.
Families are welcome to look through the shoes we currently have available before purchasing brand new pairs, as we often have pre-loved dance shoes in excellent condition.
As children grow quickly, many families find this to be a helpful and simple option throughout the year.
Dancers should have hair pulled away from the face for safety and ease of movement, simple styles like ponytails, buns or braids are perfect styles for dancers.
All ballet students should have their hair secured in a bun.
For your convenience, the full year’s tuition is divided into 12 equal monthly instalments, spread across the calendar year. This makes budgeting predictable and stress-free, while still covering everything your dancer needs.
Instalments by Term:
Term 1 – Paid across January, February, March
Term 2 – Paid across April, May, June
Term 3 – Paid across July, August, September
Term 4 – Paid across October, November, December
Even if classes haven’t yet begun (such as in January), that instalment is simply the first part of your Term 1 payment plan, helping you spread the cost evenly rather than paying a large lump sum at once.
All Inclusive monthly fee's are due on the 15th of each month.
Please visit our enrol and fees page for full details: https://encoredanceco.com.au/enrolandfees
Full Terms and Conditions can be found here: https://encoredanceco.com.au/terms-and-conditions
Your all-inclusive fee covers everything your child needs for their dance journey:
- Class tuition
- Concert costumes hire
- Costume Tights
- Concert T-Shirt
- Digital download of performance
- Concert rehearsals and production costs
- End-of-year admin and awards
- VIP access to Encore events
- All GST and credit card fee's
The only extra expense will be the once yearly $50 registration fee, tickets for concert and class dance wear, making budgeting as simple and stress-free as possible.
The benefit: No hidden charges, no large end-of-year bills, just easy, predictable payments that let you focus on your child’s growth, joy, and connection through dance.
If you ever have questions regarding your account or payments, please feel welcome to contact the studio via email at:
Our team is always happy to help support families and answer any questions.
Life happens! If you need to cancel, simply give a written 30 day notice, all instalments owing up to the date of cancellation must be paid. There are no refunds for any unused inclusions.
To keep things simple and predictable, tuition is spread across 12 monthly instalments. This means the first instalment of each term counts as the “starting point” for that term, even if classes haven’t started yet.
If your child enrols after the first instalment is processed, the system will automatically:
-Divide the term’s fees over the remaining months of that term
-Apply any trial or class credits to your account
This can make the first month or two look slightly higher than usual, but the total term fee remains the same. From the following term onwards, payments return to the standard structure of three equal monthly payments per term.
Tuition payments are non-refundable, as your child’s enrolment secures their place in class and helps make the full Encore experience possible. Each term’s fees contribute to the many elements that keep classes running smoothly and joyfully, including experienced teachers, studio facilities, class planning, music licensing, administration, and
the special moments that make dance memories so meaningful. As these commitments continue regardless of attendance, refunds or credits are not available for missed classes, change of mind, or partial term attendance.

No — beginner students are always welcome and classes are designed to support children at every stage of their dance journey.
Absolutely. New students are welcome throughout the year where class availability allows.
This is very common for beginner dancers. Teachers create a welcoming and supportive environment where children can settle in and build confidence at their own pace..
Parents are welcome to stay if your child is unsure, as every child is different. However, we encourage independence when your child is ready to participate on their own
Families are asked to notify the studio via email if their child will be absent. Where availability allows, students may attend a make-up class..
Showcase participation is encouraged for all students as it is such a valuable confidence-building experience, however participation is never compulsory.
