At Encore Dance Company, everything is designed to make dance life easy, joyful, and convenient.

These Terms & Conditions outline how fees, enrolments, and studio expectations work , so families can feel confident and supported all year long.

Fees & Payments

Easy, all-inclusive monthly instalments

Tuition at Encore is charged as 12 equal monthly instalments, from January to December.

This spreads the total cost of the dance year evenly, keeping payments simple and consistent for families.

Each monthly payment includes:

• Weekly dance classes across the season (38 week minimum guarantee)

• Concert participation and costuming

• Awards

• Digital download of concert

• Concert T-shirt

• Studio experiences, rehearsals, and special events

• All GST and credit card fees

This all-inclusive structure means everything is covered, no surprise invoices, costume charges, or end-of-year fees.

Payment Details

• Monthly payments are made via Auto Pay on the 15th of each month.

• All students must be enrolled in Auto Pay to participate in classes.

• Students joining mid-term will have their first instalment pro-rated to align future payments.

• If enrolling in February, the full January payment is still due, as it contributes to Term 1 tuition and all-inclusive program costs.

• A $15 dishonour fee applies if an auto pay attempt fails.

• All class packages are charged per dancer. Package inclusions and pricing are not transferable between siblings or family members.

• Fees must be paid regardless of attendance.

• Refunds or credits are not available for missed classes, change of mind, or withdrawal.

• No refunds will be made for any unused portion of your all inclusive payment.

• Your monthly instalment already accounts for studio breaks and public holidays, ensuring the same easy, consistent payment all year.

Registration

Securing your child’s place in class

A $50 registration fee is due each year. This covers administration, insurance, and licensing.

Your enrolment is confirmed once Auto Pay is set up and your registration fee is paid.

Photography, Video & Social Media

Celebrating our community and memories

Photos and videos may be taken during classes, rehearsals, or performances for promotional purposes.

If you do not wish for your child to appear in promotional materials, please notify the studio in writing before the first class.

Please note:

Students who cannot be photographed or filmed may not be included in certain media or performance projects.

All choreography and routines created at Encore remain the intellectual property of the studio.

If you share footage of Encore routines online, please tag and credit Encore Dance Company.

Commitment & Cancellations

Supporting your child’s dance journey

Enrolment at Encore secures your child’s place in class and helps maintain small, nurturing groups.

• Enrolment runs from January through December.

• If you wish to cancel, please email [email protected] - giving a 30 day cancellation notice.

• There are no exit fees, but all instalments owing up to the date of cancellation must be paid.

• Packages or inclusions not yet received at the time of cancellation are forfeited.

• Refunds are not available for unused inclusions or missed lessons.

• If classes are cancelled for inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances a make-up class will be offered.

Studio Guidelines

A friendly, inclusive space for everyone

Encore is a welcoming, family-friendly environment built on respect and care.

To keep the space safe and nurturing for all:

• Parents are asked not to enter classrooms unless invited by a teacher.

• Students must remain inside the studio during class times, no playing outside or in the car park.

• Respectful behaviour is expected toward all teachers, students, and families.

All Inclusive FAQS

  • Why do I pay in January if classes don’t start until February?

Your fees are spread evenly over 12 monthly instalments to make budgeting easy. The January payment is simply the first instalment for Term 1 (January–March). This means you avoid having to pay a large lump sum when classes begin, everything is already taken care of in smaller, predictable payments.

  • How are payments structured?

    Your child’s annual tuition is divided into 12 equal monthly payments, billed as follows:

• Term 1 – January, February, March

• Term 2 – April, May, June

• Term 3 – July, August, September

• Term 4 – October, November, December

Even during school holiday periods, payments continue as they are part of the full year’s instalments.

  • When is my monthly instalment due?

    Monthly fees are due on the 15th of each month. For families enrolling after January 15th but before classes begin in February, the first payment will include the full January portion of Term 1.

  • Is there still a registration fee?

Yes. A yearly registration fee of $50 per dancer applies. This fee covers administration, insurance, and your dancer’s enrolment for the year.

  • Do you offer refunds or credits for missed lessons?

Payments don’t just secure your child’s place in class they help make the whole experience possible. Each term’s fees support the things that keep your child’s classes running smoothly and joyfully, from teacher wages and studio facilities to class planning, music licensing, administration, and even the special studio events that make their time at Encore feel so memorable.

Because these costs continue regardless of attendance, refunds or credits aren’t available for missed classes. However, if your child is away, there may be an opportunity to attend a make-up class where space allows.

It’s all part of keeping things simple, consistent, and filled with the same level of care your family can always count on at Encore

  • What if we join mid-year?

If your child joins partway through the year, class tuition will be adjusted so you only pay for the remaining weeks of the current term. All other inclusions such as costumes, concert extras, and awards still apply, and your payments will then be evenly spread across the remaining months.

  • What if we decide to cancel classes?

Life happens! If you need to cancel, simply give a written 30 day notice, all instalments owing up to the date of cancellation must be paid. There are no refunds for any unused inclusions.
