MEET THE TEAM

Donna has been part of the dance world for as long as she can remember. After graduating from WAAPA with an Associate Diploma in Dance, she spent several years touring Asia and Australia in vibrant cabaret-style shows before life led her to the USA in 1991.

It was there that she discovered her true passion, teaching and choreography. Studying on scholarship at the Debbie Reynolds Studio in Los Angeles, Donna was later accepted into membership with the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters and earned her MDE (Master Dance Educator) certification in 1997. She went on to serve on the Association’s Board of Directors from 2006 until returning home to Australia in 2017.

While teaching in Chicago, Donna was gifted a studio by a mentor she had been working for, an act of trust and belief that shaped the next chapter of her career. She shared her love of dance with students of all ages, many of whom went on to study in major college programs, perform on cruise ships, at theme parks, and with regional dance companies.

Over the years, Donna has taught and adjudicated across the United States, worked as a guest choreographer for national dance events, and been part of countless inspiring workshops and performances. With more than 30 years of teaching experience, she still believes the most important lesson is that we are always students, always learning, always growing.

Now back in Perth, Donna has once again been gifted the opportunity to continue her journey through Encore Dance Company. She feels deeply grateful to share her experience, creativity, and joy with the next generation of dancers, helping each child find confidence, connection, and a lifelong love of dance.
