Whether your child is a beginner or advanced, they’ll love the excitement and challenge of our high-energy acro class! Taught by certified instructors in the Acrobatic Arts syllabus, your child will receive expert guidance as they learn and master fundamental acrobatic techniques.
Our experienced teachers will help your child develop flexibility, strength, balance, muscle control, coordination, discipline, and concentration in a safe and supportive environment. At Encore Dance Company, safety is always a priority, and students are placed into classes based on their individual skill level rather than age. Level placement for Acro Classes
Discover Acro – Ages 3 to 5
Classes focus on age-appropriate skills like log rolls, bear walks, balances, beginner strength and flexibility exercises, and basic tumbling skills all taught with gentle guidance.
Level 1 – Beginning Acro:
• Perfect for beginners with little or no previous experience in acrobatics.
• Focus on foundational skills like rolls, cartwheels, and building strength and flexibility.
• Emphasis on learning proper techniques safely in a fun, supportive environment.
Level 2 – Adv Beginner/Intermediate Acro:
• Students should be able to perform a bridge and recover.
• Focus on enhancing flexibility, coordination, and strength and more advanced tumbling techniques.
Level 3 – Intermediate Acro:
• Students are required to have mastered both front and back walkovers.
• Training includes advancing tumbling technique, balancing, and increased strength and control for complex tricks.
Level 4 – Advanced Acro:
• Students have mastered or working towards back handsprings and side aerials.
• Training includes advanced tumbling, balancing, and increased strength and control for complex tricks.

How do I know if this class is right for my child?
Not sure which class is the best fit for your child? Please reach out to us for guidance! We’re always happy to help find the right class where your child will feel confident, safe, and excited to learn.
Is there a dress code for classes?
For Acro class, we require a leotard or appropriate dance wear to allow for ease of movement and flexibility. For the safety of our dancers baggy clothing is not to be worn to class.
Do you offer concerts or performances?
Yes, we host an exciting end-of-year concert where all students can showcase what they've learned.
What age group do you offer Acro classes for?
Classes are available for children ages 4 and up.
What happens if my child misses a class?
Makeup classes are available , and you can contact the studio to arrange a convenient time.
Do you offer trial classes?
Yes we offer trial classes before you commit, to come and experience the magic and find the right class for your child. Simply choose Enrol Now and sign up for a trial class, any fee's paid will be applied to your first months instalment.
